Implement and evaluate the Production and Ventilation Engineer team’s competency matrix;
Develop Standard Operating procedures (SOPs) for activities related to underground mining, including drilling and blasting activities using mechanical equipment.
Also develop ventilation SOPs;
Mentor the Production and Ventilation Engineer;
Ensure and forecast underground (UG) consumable material requirements including explosive forecast;
Design and manage ventilation systems for underground mining;
Design and review drill & blast plan (Development & Long Hole Stoping);
Oversee mining production operations and ensure targets are met;
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations;
Other assignments as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering;
Minimum 5 years experience in manufacture or similar operations, with a focus on ventilation and production management;
Experience with UHCF/OHCF and Long Hole manufacture method;
Able to optimize manufacture production and ensure safety;
Project management and leadership skills;
POM certified is an advantage;
Communication and problem-solving abilities;
Able to demonstrate awareness of company safety and environment.
